Blue Hood

Here’s the hero I came up with for the Heróica Zine (did you know you can download it for free over athttp://ricardobessa.com/HEROICA-Zine? Go get it!). He’s inspired on the Iberian emerald lizard, which I tried to show mostly with the suit’s color scheme.
Being a part of this zine feels awesome. So many cool people. Seriously, go check it out. The art is great and there are so many cool ideas for heroes! Read it, dig it, share it!

Classic Figures of Terror - Dorian Gray

I was invited to be a part of the Classic Figures of Terror exhibition, a traveling exhibition that features different interpretations, by many great portuguese illustrator, of classic figures of terror - from Dracula to Frankenstein's Monster to Cthulhu, you'll find many familiar faces there. I got the character Dorian Gray, and it was fun to figure out what to do while trying to maybe be different from the obvious interpretations of the character.
I was happy with how it came out, and people who visited the exhibition (which unveiled at 2015's edition of the horror movie festival moteLX) gave me some good feedback.

A selection of ink sketches from last year's Inktober.

Commission

A fun commission drawn last year. It was a pleasure to work on this!

Son Gohan

The one and only Gohan, drawn somewhere on 2014 to warm up, on a Saturday morning. I hope you dig it!

Portent Interlude

Portent Interlude 4B, which for some reason was one of my favorite interludes to draw. Keep up with Portent, the webcomic, at: http://portent.thecomicseries.com/
